Niacin (vitamin B3, vitamin PP) is one of the B vitamins, or water-soluble compounds. Its properties extend to many processes in the body. In order to prevent vitamin B3 deficiency, it is worthwhile to ensure a balanced diet. Niacin can be found both in products of animal origin (poultry, beef, fish) and vegetable origin (nuts, legumes, grains), as well as in fortified foods. Niacin can also be provided by appropriate supplementation[1,3].
