As you'll discover, I'm unsure as to the benefits of this product; when compared-to my existing collagen protein. I used-to sell collagen in my heyday; so, I’ve been taking collagen powder for more than a generation now, slowly increasing my intake year-on-year to compensate for what I naturally lose with age; year-on-year, and I am one of the few people who can actually ‘feel’ when I need-to take more. As collagen is made-up of amino acids, I can sometimes just add an additional amino acid (I have them in individual form) to compensate for the shortfall, or I can just take a bit more of the collagen protein itself. I had purposely stopped taking my current batch of collagen to test this product, and all I can really say is that even when taking higher intakes of this product, (compared-to my normal intake) I am noticing that very early-on in proceedings, that I’m having-to add a sizeable amount of my own collagen to compensate for what I feel I’m lacking. Naticol® collagen was purchased by Osavi to formulate this ‘collagen and Vitamin C’ complex, and this product is sold to lots of companies to formulate within their own product complexes. Basically, the issue with Naticol® is that they make some pretty substantial claims about the achievements of their collagen; and not everyone agrees. In late 2023, the advertising standards agency asked another company using Naticol® collagen to stop making claims that it couldn’t substantiate with any real credible evidence. In-fact, if you visit the Naticol® website, you ‘may’ notice a banner to state why their products may not comply with an E.C directive, a directive by which nutritional producers have to overwhelmingly substantiate their products’ positive therapeutic health claims; for which I am trying to explain is nigh-on impossible without a universally recognised and organised clinical trial organisation to test naturally sourced health solutions. And also, that conclusive long-term studies, coupled with persistent research are severely lacking in almost all supplement testing. Clinical trials are often expensive; therefore, they are often too small and too niche to account-for a wide enough spectrum of the population, and that companies wanting to later sell these products, often have a financial interest in any positive results within a clinically published trial. There are so many caveats required, and so much money is needed to obtain a successful medical trial, (that’s why pharmaceutical drugs take years to pass through the formal system) and without a formal structure in-place; you just have to try the goods for yourself and review the product with honesty to establish ‘your own truth’. So, there’s nothing detrimental within this product, but by the same token, there may also be nothing ‘visually’ beneficial here to the end user either, unless you try it to discover otherwise. It mixes really well. In-fact you can drop it in a sufficient amount of water, and it will sink to the bottom. A quick swirl in a glass or a protein shaker will produce a cloudy lemon flavoured drink. A typical collagen protein powder will usually clump together on-contact with the water, but this generally doesn’t. The lemon taste is very pleasant, with no fishy taste present; and depending upon how much water you put-in, you can make this as weak or as strong as the 12g scoop (provided) will produce. Stevia is a plant, and this natural sugar gives this powder it’s subtle and well-proportioned sweetness. Some say that marine collagen is smaller, and somehow therefore more bio-available (more quickly absorbed into the body) than bovine collagen; but to me, collagen is collagen. It’s all made-up of amino acids, and when you consume it, the body simply breaks-down the collagen back into these amino acids and re-directs the individual amino acids to where they’re required. I could talk for weeks on the use of collagen, and whether it works or not; but my long reviews are often rejected; and as I am semi-blind, I cannot continue to go through all of that pain and wasted effort indefinitely. Apologies for any mistakes within this piece due-to my semi-blindness; and that what I write is only ever the truth of my own encounters with a product; that will hopefully help you in some small way; so that you can make a more informed decision, when parting with your own money. You’ve heard my experience of this product; so, it’s up to you. You’d need 3-months minimum to test it properly; (that’s 3 tubs, 1 per month) and it’s costly for such a small amount, but if you can afford-it; try it.

I'm giving this a neutral rating as I didn't really give it a fair chance to see if it worked for me. I didn't really like the taste - despite it being a lemon flavour. It gave me flashbacks to colonoscopy prep (but wasn't that bad), so I suspect capsules would be better for me personally. That said, it is a large tub and should last you a while. You take one spoonful and mix with 200ml of water. Though I can't see why you couldn't do smaller spoons and/or less water and make it last a bit longer. I suspect the collagen builds up slowly in your body and so you're just topping it up daily.

This is a an easy to dissolve powder with a very pleasant and refreshing zesty lemon flavour. Great way to start your day absorbing the quality marine callagen. It’s very expensive but you get what you pay for. I just started using it today and it is far better quality than any of the cheaper Callie powders or pills I have used. So invest in your self with this. You only need one scoop per day so this will last you for months

This is a high quality collagen - collagen powder is more or less a commodity but I like that this is marine collagen rather than bovine, and it has a nice lemony flavour. However it works out to almost a £1 per day if you take this as advised, which is something I can’t justify. I have the honour of testing this sample via the Vine programme, so taking cost out of the picture, I can recommend it on taste, ease of dissolving, quality ingredients and suitable for pescatarians.
